4 lessons, each ~35 minutes, designed to build vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence using basketball scenarios. Includes real life basketball game clips for our visual learners :)
Learn from a retired D1 basketball player and a wife of a Professional Basketball player in Japan :)

🔹 Lesson 1: Basketball Basics

Learn the must-know basketball terms, basic rules, and court layout so you can talk about the game confidently.

Offense vs. Defense game talk

Pronunciation focus on tricky combos (“baseline,” “back‑board”, etc.).

Ends with Q&A: ask anything about court terms or anything basketball related :)
Lesson 2: Gameplay & Positions

📋Vocabulary: rebound, assist, turnover, and positions. Pronunciation drilling: two‑syllable stress (“as‑SIST,” “de‑FENSE”).

📈 Common stat abbreviations: PPG (points per game), FG%, steals, blocks, etc.

Talk about player positions (point guard, center), and describe what’s happening in a game using real phrases.

Activity: Watch a short game clip and describe whats happening in English!
Lesson 3: Phrases/basketball lingo + Famous Plays

Learn phrases like: “and‑one,” “slam dunk,” “crossover,” “fast break", and more!

Talk like the pros and understand what commentators say!

Q&A: Students can ask about phrases or pretend they are in the middle of a game!
Lesson 4: Pro basketball players + Game Time Role - Play/review
- ✅ Practice pronouncing famous names: LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, etc.

Discuss players briefly: team, position, what makes them unique/what are they famous for.

🗣️ Role-play a short game scenario: student acts as announcer or coach.

Review vocabulary from prior lessons + Pronunciation polishing and fluency practice.

Final Q&A: Free-form time—ask anything about basketball English, rules, jargon, or culture.

After request is confirmed (fixed)
- More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
- Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
