Lesson Structure:
1. Warm-up (5 minutes) – Fun Icebreaker
Activity: “Would You Rather?”
- Ask simple and fun questions like:
- Would you rather have a pet dragon or a pet unicorn?
- Would you rather fly like a bird or swim like a dolphin?
- Students answer and explain why.
- Encourage them to ask each other follow-up questions.
💡 Tech Tip: Use an engaging slide or screen-share images to make choices more visual.
2. Main Activity (15 minutes) – Interactive Free Talk
Option 1: Show & Tell (Perfect for young learners!)
- Each student shows an object from their home and talks about it (e.g., favorite toy, book, pet).
- Other students ask simple questions (e.g., Where did you get it? Why do you like it?).
- Teacher models good responses and encourages discussion.
Option 2: Mystery Bag Game
- The teacher describes a hidden object (“It’s small, round, and you can throw it” → A ball).
- Students guess and then describe their own mystery object.
Option 3: Storybuilding (Great for creativity!)
- Start with: “One day, I found a magic door...”
- Each student adds one sentence to continue the story.
- Use gestures, expressions, and even virtual props to make it exciting.
💡 Tech Tip:Use a virtual whiteboard
to write key words from students’ responses.
3. Wrap-up (5 minutes) – Reflection & Fun Review
- Ask: “What was the funniest or most interesting thing someone said today?”
- Quick feedback on speaking skills (“You did a great job asking questions!”).
- Give a fun challenge: “Try to tell someone at home about what you talked about today!”
