Let's talk about anything!

Description

Free talk in ESL (English as a Second Language) refers to an open-ended conversation practice where learners engage in spontaneous discussions without a strict lesson structure. It's designed to improve fluency, confidence, and natural communication skills by encouraging students to express their thoughts freely on various topics.

Teachers or conversation partners might use prompts, questions, or real-life scenarios to guide the discussion, but the goal is to create a relaxed environment where learners can practice speaking without worrying too much about grammar or correctness. Free talk sessions are especially useful for intermediate and advanced learners who want to refine their conversational abilities.

We can talk about anything except for the taboo topics listed below:

  • Politics & Religion – Can lead to debates or discomfort.

  • Sex & Personal Relationships – Often too private for casual discussion.

  • Money & Salaries – Can feel intrusive.

  • Death, Mental Health & Illness – Requires sensitivity.

  • Violence, Crime & Discrimination – May cause distress or conflict.
