Create your own children's book while learning English with a native English-speaking teacher.
What if your child could learn English by writing and creating their very own book?
In this creative and interactive lesson, students use the Hero's Journey to develop their own original story while practicing English naturally.
Rather than simply completing English exercises, your child becomes the author of their own adventure.
Together, we'll develop characters, create exciting situations, solve problems, and build a story from beginning to end—all while using English.
I have experience teaching students with ADHD, ASD (autism), and other developmental differences (発達特性), and I adapt my lessons to each learner's individual learning style, interests, and pace.
🌟 What can your child create?
Your child can create almost any kind of story they can imagine:
🐉 Fantasy adventures
🦸 Superhero stories
🚀 Science-fiction adventures
🐶 Animal stories
🏰 Magical kingdoms
🎮 Video-game-style adventures
🕵️ Mystery stories
🎬 Movie-style stories
They can ultimately turn their ideas into a children's picture book, short story, or movie script.
📖 The Hero's Journey
We'll use the Hero's Journey as a framework to help organize the story.
Your child will gradually discover:
- Who is the hero?
- What does the hero want?
- What problem do they face?
- What challenges must they overcome?
- Who will help them?
- What happens when things go wrong?
- How does the hero change?
- How does the adventure end?
This gives students a clear structure while still allowing their imagination to lead the story.
🌎 Learn English through storytelling
English is practiced naturally throughout the creative process.
Depending on your child's level, we can work on:
- Speaking and conversation
- Vocabulary
- Grammar
- Reading
- Writing
- Describing characters and places
- Dialogue
- Story structure
- Expressing ideas and emotions
The English level and difficulty of the writing are adjusted to the individual student.
The goal isn't perfect English from the beginning. The goal is to communicate ideas, have fun, and gradually improve.
🎨 From an idea to a finished book
As we continue, we'll develop the story step-by-step.
We can work on:
Character → World → Problem → Adventure → Challenges → Climax → Resolution
Students can also develop illustrations and other creative elements to eventually turn their story into a finished children's book.
By the end, your child won't just have practiced English.
They'll have created something of their own.

This lesson is suitable for children who:
- Enjoy stories and imagination

- Enjoy writing, drawing, games, movies or books
- May find traditional English lessons boring
No previous creative-writing experience is necessary.
I've already used this storytelling approach with students learning English, and I adapt the activities to each student's age, English level and interests.
