A lesson to help you prepare for timed exams in English Literature.
Description
This is a lesson in preparing for exams in English Literature. Before the lesson, please let me know what exam you are taking and what text you plan to study.
The lesson will cover a number of important topics:
- How to break down the text you are studying into key themes that are likely to come up in the exam
- How to use critical quotes to support your arguments
- How to plan basic essay structures that can be used for a variety of exam questions
- How to memorise quotes to be used in the exam
- How to manage your time efficiently.
During the lesson, we will look at a text you are studying for your exam. This could be a novel, a play, a poetry collection or something else. I will help you divide the text into key themes, match critical perspectives to the themes and identify key quotes from the text. If you struggle with time management in an exam, I can also help with that.
