This is an example lesson plan to show the pace of my classes. I will create a lesson based on your needs!

This lesson is designed to introduce and explore linear equations from an Algebra 1 standpoint. The lesson will cover the following material:

The Coordinate Plane & Intercepts: vocabulary, finding x and y-intercepts
Slope of a line: rate of change, slope formula, types of slopes
The Three Main Forms of a Linear Equation: Slope-Intercept Form, Point-Slope Form, and Standard Form
Special Lines: horizontal and vertical lines
Parallel & Perpendicular Lines: relationships between lines based on slopes

This lesson covers multiple topics in one hour, and is intended as a review or fast-paced lesson for students to go through Algebra 1 quickly. Students will be expected to come prepared to class with paper, their writing utensil, a graphing calculator or access to a graphing calculator app/website, and a straight-edge (ruler) to draw lines. Each concept will be reviewed with practice questions. The lesson can be tailored to match the pace of the student, and thus, can be split into two or three sessions if the student is learning the material for the first time and wants to slow down.
