Speak Better English: Phrasal Verbs, Slang & Expressions
Phrasal verbs • Useful expressions • Idioms you can really use

Want to understand real English in movies, YouTube, meetings, and everyday conversation? A big key is phrasal verbs (like pick up, figure out, put off) and natural expressions. In this class, you will learn the phrases people actually use—and practice using them naturally (not memorising a long list).

Important: We focus on expressions that are common and safe for daily life and work.
Who should take this class?

  • You understand English textbooks, but “real English” feels fast and difficult
  • Phrasal verbs confuse you (one verb + many meanings)
  • You want to sound more natural and less “translation-style”
  • You want expressions you can use in daily life, work, and conversation
What we focus on

  • Phrasal verbs: meaning, nuance, common patterns, and when to use them
  • Useful expressions: natural phrases for opinions, reactions, and daily situations
  • Slang: who you can say it to, when it sounds rude, and better “neutral” alternatives.
  • Pronunciation: linking, stress, and rhythm so your phrases sound natural
  • Active use: speaking challenges so you actually remember the phrases

If you have a topic you like (work, travel, tech, hobbies, etc.), I can select phrases that match your life. You can also bring a YouTube video, podcast, or article and we can pull natural expressions from it.
