This is a 5-lesson pack. You will be issued 4 “coupons” when the first request is confirmed. You will be able to use these coupons for subsequent requests in the pack. Please note that all requests related to this pack must be taken within 10 days of the first lesson date.

Lessons should generally be booked chronologically, meaning that the second lesson should be booked after the first, and so on.

Description

In this online English course, you will initially learn how prepositions are used depending on the time you are talking about. The course will also teach you to use ‘in’ to refer to positions and places, ‘at’ to refer to being close or beside a particular place, and ‘on’ to refer to being physically on top of something or doing something.

Secondly, this course will be covering all the types of prepositions namely, prepositions of place, time and direction or movement.

Next, you will learn to understand the list of rules of these prepositions for applying them in writing, speaking, reading, and listening. With regards to these, students will be studying the use of prepositions to say how they do something, how they travel, and to say something is being done by somebody.

Games such as matching, crossword,memory game, etc. , songs and flashcard presentation will be used as a tool to review the lesson content and refresh students' interest too. I will use MS.Powerpoint to present games for students to play, and the lessons in general will sometimes be present with it. Students will also be engaging in pairwork activities. That is student-to-student, and student-to-teacher activities.

This course is meant for beginner and Elementary and intermediate level. It will make sure that you know your prepositions very well in English conversations. The course entails interactive learning content, videos, and audio recordings.
Teaching materials in the form of worksheets will be given to students to do their task and homeworks in PDF and word format.
In the end, homework will be assign to students.

LESSON 1:  In this lesson, students learn about preposition of places. They will understand how and when each of prepositions of this type is used in writing and speaking. The students will be able to identify and use them in sentences appropriately. The worksheets focuses on writing, listening and speaking skills.  

WARM - UP
Pictures will be display for students to match the prepositions with objects. 
An object will be shown for Student 'A' to say the correct preposition of place. These objects will be display one after the other. Animations with powerpoint presentation will be use to play this game while sharing the screen with students.

1. Preposition of place:

 We use prepositions before nouns to say where something is or located. It can provide us with information on the relationship between two words within a sentence, one such relationship is the placement of an object.

For example: The bank is opposite the cinema.

                        The table is in front of the refrigerator.

This shows where the table is and allows us to understand what is being talked about more clearly.

MEMORY GAME: Let student watch a short video of preposition of places and answers questions to review what they have leaned. A series of questions will be ask , and students then respond to the questions by identifying or telling the prepositions of place while watching and listening to it.

 ACTIVITY
Students will be given some time to work on some activities which involves picture illustrations, in pairs. Here, they will be presented with a photo and then ask questions for the other to respond using prepositions of places.

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
