Open studios are normally a time when artists make their studio open to the public. This online version is intended to give opportunities for watching work in progress, conversations and cultural exchange about art, and encouraging each others creativity.

Description

I am a Moku-Hanga Printmaker (Japanese Woodblock Printmaker) and this is a chance to watch, see, learn, or discuss moku-hanga, drawing or design, or art and culture in general.

For example, some discussion topics could be:
・Your perspectives on traditional and contemporary art
・The different experiences of Ukiyo-e or traditional moku-hanga methods versus sōsaku moku-hanga (creative moku-hanga)
・Advice for learning how to draw
・Exhibition viewing or participation experiences
・Anything related to the topics of hanga!
 
It can also be an opportunity to share or discuss your own work or curiosities about moku-hanga.
 
If you are learning English, this a good lesson for any skill level, so please feel free to try it!
