Lesson Plan 1 – My Routine Vocabulary
Level: Beginner–Low Intermediate (kids & adults)
Time: 30 minutes
Aims:

Introduce 5–6 common daily routine verbs.

Use “I …” in short sentences.
Vocabulary: wake up, brush teeth, eat breakfast, go to school/work, go to bed.
Procedure:

Warm-up (3 min): Mime an action → students guess.

Presentation (7 min): Show pictures/flashcards, drill vocabulary. Write words on board.

Practice (10 min):

Matching game (word ↔ picture).

Say & mime: “I brush my teeth.”

Production (8 min): Each student says 2 sentences about their day.

Wrap-up (2 min): Quick review game (teacher says word → students do action).
Adaptations:

Beginners: Focus only on words + “I …”

Lesson Plan 2 – Sequencing My Day
Level: Beginner–Intermediate
Time: 30 minutes
Aims:

Expand vocabulary with more daily activities.

Use sequencing words (first, then, after, finally).
Vocabulary: take a shower, do homework/work, play, eat dinner, watch TV, sleep.
Procedure:

Warm-up (3 min): “What do you do after you wake up?” quick Q&A.

Presentation (7 min): Teach new words. Model sequencing with 3 steps: “First I wake up. Then I eat breakfast. Finally I go to school.”

Practice (10 min): Students order routine cards/pictures. Say the sequence in pairs.

Production (8 min): Students create their own 3-step sequence and share with a partner.

Wrap-up (2 min): Group chant: “First… then… finally…”
Adaptations:

Beginners: Use 3–4 steps only.

Intermediates: Write a short paragraph of their routine using sequencing words.
Lesson Plan 3 – Talking About Times & Habits
Level: Beginner–Intermediate
Time: 30 minutes
Aims:

Add times of day to routines.

Introduce adverbs of frequency (always, usually, sometimes, never).
Vocabulary: get up at 7, eat lunch at 12, go to bed at 10, always/usually/sometimes/never.
Procedure:

Warm-up (3 min): Ask: “What time do you wake up?”

Presentation (7 min): Teach time + model sentences: “I wake up at 7. I usually eat lunch at 12.”

Practice (10 min):

Survey: Students ask 3 classmates “What time do you …?” / “Do you usually …?”

Production (8 min): Students share one habit: “I sometimes eat breakfast late.”

Wrap-up (2 min): Teacher summary: “Most students usually wake up at 7.”

Lesson Plan 4 – Comparing Routines & Lifestyles
Level: High Beginner–Intermediate
Time: 30 minutes
Aims:

Compare different routines (mine vs. yours).

Use contrast and discussion about lifestyle differences.
Vocabulary: commute, exercise, cook, relax, early bird, night owl.
Procedure:

Warm-up (3 min): Discuss: “Are you an early bird or a night owl?”

Presentation (7 min): Teach new words + comparison model: “I wake up early, but she wakes up late.”

Practice (10 min): Pair work interview: “What time do you …?” → then compare: “We both eat breakfast at 8. She goes to bed earlier than me.”

Production (8 min): Groups role-play two characters (busy student vs. office worker) and present their day.

Wrap-up (2 min): Class discussion: “Who has the busiest routine?”
Adaptations:

Beginners: Focus on “I wake up early. She wakes up late.”
