Sight words, are words that appear frequently within all written English language. They are some of the first words children learn.

Hello, thank you for visiting my page.
During this lesson I use flashcards showing high frequency/sight words.
Its more like a fun drill, most pupils know the words but are unsure or hesitant to say the words, practice boosts their self confidence and the revision helps with fluent reading. Most children thoroughly enjoy this lesson because they challenge themselves to learn the words and keep the speed going.
It's a super fun challenge of the revision of words that they are currently learning or have learnt.
All these sight words are usually taught to children by memory to aid their reading and writing in the first stages before they formally start reading basic books.
