Guess the Meaning of English Idioms - Ages 12 to Adult

A fun way to learn sayings that will make you sound like a native. Great for ages 12 and up with intermediate English or higher.

Description

Have you ever heard of a pig that flies? Been outside when it was raining cats and dogs? Taken an exam that turned out to be a piece of cake?  While everyday vocabulary and grammer are important when learning a language, in order to really sound like a native, you need to be able to use those phrases and sayings that are unique to that language.  These can be hard to remember because they usually can't be translated word for word and so even even when you know what each word means, putting them together seems to make no sense.

In this class you'll learn some of the more commonly used English idioms so you can take your ability to speak and understand the language to the next level. Several examples of each will be provided and before they are defined you'll have the chance to see if you can guess what they mean.

This fun class is appropriate for children (age 12 and above) and adults of any age who want a class that is bound to make them laugh!
