Description
In this lesson, we will practise using English conditionals to talk about things that are not real.
We will focus on two kinds of conditionals:
-
Second conditional – for present or future situations that are not real.
Example: If I won the lottery, I would travel the world. -
Third conditional – for past situations that did not happen.
Example: If I had studied harder, I would have passed the exam.
First, you will read and listen to short examples of these sentences. Then we will practise the grammar together, using gap-fills and speaking activities. After that, you will try using conditionals in conversations about real and imaginary situations – for example, what you would do if you were famous, or how your life would be different if you had made other choices in the past.
By the end of the lesson, you will be more confident using conditional sentences to express your ideas about the present, the future, and even about past regrets.
