Description

Preparing for a job interview with a Japanese company requires more than just language proficiency—it requires understanding Japanese business etiquette, structured delivery, and expressing your motivation clearly.

In this practice session, we will conduct a realistic mock interview customized to your target job, company, and current Japanese level (JLPT N3 to N1 recommended).

What We Will Cover:

1. Mock Interview Simulation (20–25 minutes):

  • A full practice run covering essential Japanese interview questions (e.g., Jiko PR, Shibou Douki, and past work experience).

  • Practice with proper Japanese honorifics (Keigo / Kenjougo / Sonkeigo).

  • Industry-specific and role-tailored situational questions.

2. Etiquette & Communication Feedback (15–20 minutes):

  • Feedback on standard Japanese interview manners (greetings, entering/exiting the room, body language).

  • Refining your Jiko PR (Self-PR) and Shibou Douki (Reason for applying) to sound natural and persuasive.

  • Corrections on natural phrasing, vocabulary, and grammar nuances.

3. Q&A & Final Preparation (5–10 minutes):

  • Crafting appropriate questions to ask the interviewer (Gyakushitsumon).

  • Key takeaway points and customized homework to review before your real interview.

How to Prepare Before Class:

  • Send over the job posting or company details at least 24 hours prior to our lesson.

  • Share your current Japanese Resume (Rirekisho) or Curriculum Vitae (Shokumu Keirekisho).

  • Let me know if you want to focus on a specific aspect (e.g., online interview etiquette, technical questions, or Keigo check).
