
Description
Objectives:
Student will practice engaging in everyday conversations in English.
Student will learn useful phrases and expressions for common conversational situations.
Student will gain confidence in speaking English.
Lesson Outline:
1. Warm-Up (5 minutes):
Greet the student and introduce myself.
Use simple icebreaker questions to get students talking, such as "What's your name?" and "Where are you from?"
Encourage students to respond with short answers.
2. Introduction to the Lesson (5 minutes):
Share the lesson objectives and explain that the focus is on practicing conversational English.
Briefly explain the importance of everyday conversations for communication in real-life situations.
3. Conversation Practice (15 minutes):
Let the student pick a topic they would like to discuss,if student does not have any provide student with a list of conversation topic cards (e.g., hobbies, family, and travel).
Ask student to choose a topic card.
Have student engage in conversations related to their chosen topics.
4. Feedback and Wrap-Up (5 minutes):
Ask students if they found the lesson helpful and if they have any questions or concerns.
Provide positive feedback and acknowledge their efforts.
Assign a short task for the next lesson, such as preparing a short self-introduction for the following class.
