History: Lessons from antiquity
How much can you say you know about the Roman Empire? Or the great dynasties of China? This blast from the past can teach all of that and more!

IMPORTANT: Typically, this lesson is chosen after at least one Crossroads lesson. So, are you interested in learning more about the human history? About the construction of the Great Wall or about the great battles of the old times? Maybe you are more interested in modern history, in the World Wars of the recent past or the great cultural movments that define our modern world. In this online lesson, we travel back in time to learn about ancient civlizations and the decisions of kings and peasants alike. No time period is off the table and no journey will be found lacking.
This lesson prioritizes general themes from lesson to lesson. Our objective is not only to learn what happened, but also why they happened at all. Each lesson will be connected to the next not by time necessarily, but by the all-important themes of geography, economics, and technology.
