Explaining Those Silly English Sayings
Description
Idioms are quirky, and a bit of fun. Knowing their meaning will really improve your understanding of the English language. This class is good for intermediate students.
We'll go through ten to twelve in this class with the meaning explained, and you'll get time to practice using them in the correct way.
I have a list of over 300 idioms so if you enjoy getting to grips with them, you can take this class many times. I'll keep track of where we left off.
I will send you the list of idioms we learned on the day so you don't need to worry about writing them down or forgetting them.
So by 'the drop of a hat' this class could 'be a blessing in disguise, but then again, 'pigs may fly.'
