Airport conversation

Now that borders are re-opening, know what to say in the airport!

Description

Although we can't yet see the end of this pandemic, borders are starting to open again. It's crucial to be able to interact with others whether you intend to travel, conduct business, or visit a nation where English is the official language. Many airport staff members receive English language instruction. There are always a lot of foreigners in airports, so it's a good idea to learn how to communicate with them in a friendly and respectful way.
Some important questions that might be asked during check in:
  • Can I have your ticket, please?
  • May I see your passport, please?
  • Would you like a window or an aisle seat?
  • Do you have any baggage?
  • What is your final destination?
  • Would you like to upgrade to business or first class?
  • Do you need any help getting to the gate?
Knowing how to answer these questions can be a big help.
