Basics

Description

Here’s a summary of a first lesson tailored to beginners.
The first lesson focuses on building a foundation and creating a comfortable learning environment. We will start with brief introductions—greeting the students and similar.
Next, I will cover basic vocabulary and phrases, such as greetings (“Hello,” “Good morning,” “How are you?”) and responses (“I’m fine, thank you,” “And you?”). We will use multiple repetitions.
I will ntroduce a simple grammar point, like the verb “to be” (I am, you are, he/she is), with practical examples tied to introductions or feelings (“I am happy,” “She is tired”).
I will wrap up with a short activity, like a role-play where we ask basic questions (“What’s your name?” “Where are you from?”).
I will assign a small homework task, such as practicing five sentences about themselves, to build confidence for the next lesson.
The goal is to make it engaging, practical, and not overwhelming, while gauging student' starting level for future lessons.
