Warm-up (5 min): Needs analysis

  • Quick discussion: “What is the most challenging part of the exam for you?”
  • Mini speaking challenge: “Describe your perfect job in 30 seconds” (tests fluency & coherence).

Writing Task /Pt 1 (15 min): Essay Planning & Key Phrases

  • Breakdown of how to structure a formal essay (thesis, supporting points, conclusion).
  • Introduce advanced linking words ("Having considered both sides…", "A key issue at stake is…").
  • Quick mini-task: Write an introduction + 1 body paragraph.

Speaking Task / Pt.2 (15 min): Long turn practice

  • Student practices comparing two photos, using avdanced level phrases (e.g., "It seems to me that…", "Judging by their expressions…")
  • Correction & Feedback: Focus on fluency, pronunciation, and linking words.
