Description

.
In this lesson for pre-intermediate students I will present the student with a series of problems from a problem page in a magazine and he has to give advice using should/n't or must/n't or could.
-Then we will practise have to/don't have to and must and mustn't.
-I will point out that mustn't is used to forbid something whereas don't have to is to say something is not necessary, Then the student wil tell me about rules in his country (regarding social norms, driving etc).
-As a homework exercise the student could pretend to be an agony aunt and write a letter of advice in reply to a lettter I give him. In this way he could practise his reading and writing skills
