This lesson is a great way to encourage children to learn more about Australia's amazing animals and inspire a greater love and understanding of the world's unique and wonderful wildlife.

Of course, this lesson is also open to adults who enjoy learning more about these remarkable creatures and enjoy a fun book too :-)

You can choose which book(s) you'd like to read.  Depending on your level and how fast we go through the chosen book/s we may have time to talk more about the animal featured in the book or you can ask about other animals.

As a guideline:

"I Spy the Magpie" is great for younger learners.  It's not only a storybook, but it's also useful for those still new to learning English, as each page has a letter of the alphabet relevant to the story. 

It's part of the Steve Parish Kids series (Backyard Kids), so it is filled with amazing photography of beautiful Australian animals.

"Diary of a Wombat" is the international best seller by Jackie French, illustrated by Bruce Whatley, and it's ... well ... as the title suggests ... the diary of a "busy" wombat, with a sense of humour. :-)

It's a fun story that everyone will enjoy reading, (even parents and grandparents).

"Animal Antics - The Clever Cassowary" is written by Sara Leman with photography by Steve Parish, so once again an entertaining story that also educates children about these marvellous, big birds accompanied by beautiful photos on each page, complete with facts about the world's second largest bird.

When making a reservation for a class, please let me know the age of the child (or if you're an adult) and also please give me an idea of their English level to help me plan for the class.
