Build experience and comfort using spoken English with a native speaker
Description
This lesson can be tailored to any subject or area of discussion the student wishes to focus on. (Job interviews, tourist environments, business English, etc.)
- 5 Minutes - Would you rather questions. The student is presented with questions about which choice they would rather take in a hypothetical situation. It helps to build comfort and confidence in a flowing conversation.
- 20 Minutes - Discussion about the answers given in the first task. I can elicit further explanations and opinions from the student based on how they answered, allowing for a natural-sounding conversation and reinforcing their speech.
- 5 Minutes - Feedback and discussion. I will give praise and consctructive criticism to the student about their use of language, including outlining areas of language they may need extra help. This step can also include discussion about what to focus on in future lessons.
- Homework: Practice given vocabulary, including idioms and phrasal verbs that might be useful in the chosen area of study.
