This Lesson focuses on Present Continuous and Verbs - irregular and regular
Note: You can buy the book, but each lesson I will send through your activities and lesson work as a word document.
Ellicit understanding of verbs - build vocab booster - check understanding of regular verbs and irregular verbs
Explain Present Continuous how it is formed and its purpose
Activities:
- do you know the irregular forms of the verb?
- use the present continuous to describe the activities
- can you form questions using the present continuous or present simple
Check learning - what is the difference when forming questions with present simple and present continuous?
- what are the different verb tenses (simple past, Past participle, present perfect, past perfect, continuous)
Role play using present continuous.
Then role playing trying to substitute with different verb tenses and rearranging sentence structure. Can u see the difference?
Reading Comprehension - look for the verbs in the reading, what tense are they in? Highlight present continuous sentence structures and present simple structures.
