Lesson Pack Details

- This is a lesson pack of 4 lessons in total. When you send the request for the first lesson, points for all 4 lessons will be deducted at once.
- Once the tutor confirms the first request, “100% OFF coupons” that can be used for the remaining 3 requests will be issued automatically.
- You can use these coupons to send requests for the remaining lessons.
- The validity period for this lesson pack is 45 days starting from the scheduled date and time of the first confirmed lesson.

Even if the first scheduled lesson is canceled, the already set validity period will not change.

Description

This is my "General Lessons" pack. Here we can work on what you would like to work on and I can will guide you to improve your playing.

I am a passionate composer, player and teacher. I have a Master’s in Music from Queen’s University Belfast. I did my degree in Music and English at The National University of Ireland, Maynooth. I have a Performance Diploma in Classical Guitar from Trinity College London. I have worked in a highschool in Ireland and various music academies teaching music theory, the guitar and piano. 

I am currently the lead-singer / songwriter in a folk-trio called Manta Ray James (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYk6yWfFm4Q). I played lead guitar in the Irish indie-rock band The Curtain Thieves (https://open.spotify.com/artist/0X6m1Y9JeTF8tuTzTUtkYv). We reached number 3 in the Irish charts with the single “Only in the Night”. 

I also compose music for film and other media. I composed the original score for the horror / mystery comic Frank at Home on the Farm by Scout Comics (https://www.instagram.com/johnvallelycomposer/). 

I can play and teach many different styles and levels, although I strongly believe that a strong base in technique and theory will allow you to play whatever style you choose. Learning music is one of the most rewarding things you can do with your time. I look forward to helping you on your journey.

Cafetalk's cancellation policy

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
    (Please check with the tutor for details.)
