Would you like to have a relaxed conversation about Finland in Japanese, English or Finnish?
I was born and raised in Finland, and I moved to Japan 8 years ago. From a native perspective, I can share insights into Nordic culture and everyday life in an easy-to-understand way. Let’s enjoy a relaxed and friendly conversation while deepening your understanding of Finland.
This lesson is available in Japanese, English, and Finnish.
Please note that this is not a Finnish language lesson, but a conversation lesson about Finland.
I love Finnish vintage tableware design (especially Arabia and Iittala) and vintage Marimekko, and I’m also interested in the history of Japanese kimono and traditional Finnish costumes.
One of my hobbies is going on long walks and stopping by flea markets along the way.
I used to work in a bookstore in Helsinki, so I can also share some insights into Finnish literature. I also have experience supporting international students applying to high schools and universities, so I’m familiar with the Finnish education system and can help with that as well.
As a Helsinki local, I can recommend cafés, restaurants, and places to visit, as well as how to spend your time in the city. We can also prepare for your trip to Finland together.
