To talk about completed actions in the past, English uses the past simple.
For regular verbs, use the form: verb + - ed
For regular verbs, use the form: verb + - ed
There are three different ways to pronounce –ed depending on the final sound of the base verb.
Example:
/t/ - cooked - /cookt/ /d/ - played - /playd/ /id/- visited - /visitid
Example:
/t/ - cooked - /cookt/ /d/ - played - /playd/ /id/- visited - /visitid
