How to greet others and use basic conversational phrases

Lesson Plan: Teaching greetings and introductions
Warm-up (5 minutes):
1. Greeting: Greet the student using simple English greetings such as "Good morning" or "Hello, how are you".
2. Icebreaker: Have the student introduce themself, say their name, and say something simple about themselves.
Presentation (15 minutes):
1. Basic Greetings: Teach and practice common greetings such as Hello, Hi, Good morning, Good afternoon, Good evening.Model pronunciation and have the student repeat after me.
2. Introduce oneself: Show the student how to introduce themself by saying My name is... Repeat the phrase introducing yourself.
3. Classroom language: Introduce basic classroom language such as please, thank you, excuse me, and sorry. Explain when and how to use these expressions.
Practice (20 minutes):
1. Role Play: Ask the students questions such as What's your name? How are you? Where are you from? What's your favorite color?
2. Story Chain: Start the story by saying good morning, then the student should respond with something like Good morning I woke up early and so on and so forth creating a story.
Wrap-up (10 minutes):
1. Review: Ask what are some common greetings we learned today?
2. Can you use please and thank you in a sentence?
