Description

There are many beautiful beaded items on the continent of Africa. In this lesson we will teach you how to make beadwork on a loom. This is an ancient skill that is taught by generations of women using a beading loom. 

 

Each design is different because each person designs it according to their personality and creativity. I have been making beadwork for many years.

 

This lesson pack will include: 

 

Information about traditional patterns and design-

-Why we have different designs

-Why we use different colours

-Reasons for wearing different beads

-Do's and Dont's 

 

Design-

-colours, beads, tools and patterns

 

Making-

-We will make our beads during class

-How to channel your energy to make your beads

-Blessing and channelling your beadwork

 

VERY IMPORTANT: 

This lesson is open to beginners but you may need to do some homework after the lesson to prepare for the next class.

 

You will need to have specific material for this lesson to make a bracelet and you will NEED a BEADING LOOM. You can buy it  at craft shops or online shops. Please message me if you want to take a class so that I can send you a list of things you need. Once our lesson is confirmed, you will be sent a checklist to prepare for your lesson. 

 

This tutor's cancellation policy

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Less than 2hours before lesson start time.→ 100% of price charged.
  • Between 2-12hours before lesson start time.→ 50% of price charged.
  • No-Show→ 100% of price charged.
