 About This Special Summer Challenge

Are you ready to turn summer vacation into a live English adventure? Welcome to the 7-Day Summer Challenge!

Instead of staring at textbook slides or grammar charts, students will join me live using a mobile camera setup directly from a real Mediterranean garden, porch, and pool area. This course is designed to be highly visual, practical, and interactive. By connecting real-life summer activities to English, students will achieve natural fluency and real-world confidence in just 7 sessions!

  • Target Audience: Children, Teens, and Families to enjoy together
  • Format: 7-session package (50 minutes per session)
  • Duration: To be completed within 30 days
  • Takeaways: Every lesson includes a Post-Lesson Challenge Sheet sent directly to the student with key vocabulary, sentence practice, and a fun mini-mission for the next day!

What You Will Achieve in 7 Days:

  • Day 1: Pool & Splash Basics! Learn how to confidently describe a pool day. We will explore the water together and master active summer verbs (splashing, floating) in full sentences.
  • Day 2: Solar Power & Smart Pool Rules! Become a Pool Safety Officer! Discover the cool science of how the sun powers a pool filter through solar energy, and learn critical "should and shouldn't" safety rules for the summer.
  • Day 3: Summer Pet Care & Safe Garden Play! Become a certified Summer Pet Helper. Meet my real pets on camera and learn the science of how dogs and cats stay cool in the heat, plus how to play safely in the shade.
  • Day 4: Summer Fuel – Smart Foods & Drinks! Learn how to be "sensible" in the heat. We will look at real summer foods and drinks to discover what gives our bodies the best hydration and energy to play all day.
  • Day 5: The Olive Tree & Garden Secrets! Step into a real Mediterranean garden! We will inspect growing olive trees up close, learn the secret of how silver leaves reflect the hot sun, and explore the soil.
  • Day 6: Screen-Free Summer & Battery Safety! A vital lesson for modern kids! Learn why leaving phones on hot sunbeds is dangerous for lithium batteries (and what to do in an emergency). Then, discover classic, screen-free tabletop board games like Connect 4 and KerPlunk live on the porch!
  • Day 7: The Grand Summer Graduation! The student takes the spotlight! In this final celebration, the student shares their favorite memories of the challenge and presents their own exciting, safe plans for the rest of the summer in confident English to receive their graduation certificate.

How the Lesson Setup Works:

I use a high-quality smartphone mounted on a stationary tripod outdoors. Sometimes I will be right up close to show objects, pets, or games, and other times I will stand back using the pool or garden as a live background. This keeps the camera perfectly stable while giving students a dynamic, "TV-presenter" style interactive experience!

Message to Parents: This challenge is designed to keep your child moving, laughing, and speaking English during the holiday break. It breaks the monotony of online learning by bringing the beautiful outdoors right to their screen.

This tutor's cancellation policy

Cancellation of pack lessons

• 'Unstarted' lesson packs(1) can be cancelled any time. Used Points will be completely refunded. If a 'started' lesson pack(2) is cancelled, you will be refunded 50% of the price of the remaining lessons provided that the lessons are unrequested, unconfirmed or not within 24 hours of their scheduled start times.
(1) A lesson pack for which none of the requests have been confirmed by the tutor.
(2) A lesson pack with at least one confirmed request. (By confirming the date and time for the first lesson in the pack the tutor confirms the pack as a whole and coupons are automatically issued)

Cancelling individual requests in a pack

• If you wish to cancel a single lesson that belongs to a pack but not the whole pack, you can do so via the request page. In this case, the coupon used to book the lesson will either be refunded or collected, based on the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy. Please note that any 50% partial refunds in the tutors single-lesson cancellation policy do not apply to lesson packs and the tutor may choose to either refund or collect the coupon in those cases.

Before request is confirmed (fixed)

  • Cancellation possible at any time without charge.

After request is confirmed (fixed)

  • More than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ Cancellation is possible at any time.
  • Less than 24 hours before lesson start time.→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
  • No-Show→ The tutor may take a cancellation fee.
