Engoo is a wonderful platfom for improving your English skills as you get an opportunity to read engaging, up to date news, designed in Japan, to suit your learning needs.
I have used this tool many times with students from all over the world. I continue to use it as the students love how interactive it is and how much they learn in one short lesson!
The reason I like it is that it is useful for all students because there are many learning styles incorporated into one lesson.
With the images, strong headlines and stimulating stories, the student always find something of interest in each lesson.
The articles are designed especially for English language learners.
For example, we start with the title of the article and the image. The student can predict what the story might be about.
They may have heard something about the piece of news recently. This is a good way for the student to get engaged in the lesson.
We then go into a vocabulary section to see if there are any new words the student may not know.
You (the student) then read the article and you can ask me questions at any time. I will be reading with you and I can correct your pronunciation too.
At the end, there will be comprehension questions to see what you remembered from the article. Don't worry if you don't remember everything, I will give you time to scroll back over the article to find the answers.
And finally, at the end, we will have a general discussion about the article.
