IELTS Speaking
Description
Course Description:
Lessons will focus on granting students opportunities to put what they have learned into practice and help them to make progress by addressing specific issues related to grammar, pronunciation, fluency and vocabulary.
Lesson Structure:
1. Mock Exam and Feedback. Due to time constraints every class will be based on all three parts.
2. Feedback. Errors will be highlighted and detailed feedback will be given based on answers.
3. Homework. Homework will consist of students answering IELTS Questions and creating 'Idea Banks' (vocabulary, idioms and phrases for most common topics).
Objectives:
• Help students brainstorm possible ideas for common IELTS questions.
• Practice answering questions.
• Learn how to improve and enhance speaking skills by means of various strategies.
Lesson Information:
Needs Assessment
I usually do a basic needs assessment first before determining what’s best for my students. A needs assessment helps with determining needs, goals and English level.
Online Platform
Online lessons are conducted through Zoom and Skype.
During these online lessons, I share my screen and course materials (ppt, worksheets) with my students.
Trial Class
It is possible to have a free trial lesson first just to see if we're a good match.
Lessons
Lessons are 50 minutes to an hour.
Receive progress reports as well as useful materials after each class to help you prepare for the exam.
