This lesson focuses on free talk and conversation and is best suited for beginner and elementary/primary level English language learners. This lesson is all about feelings and helps students to identify the ways in which we may express our feelings in certain scenarios. First, students can use their pre-existing knowledge on the topic as a starting point. Students will then be presented with new vocabulary which they can practice using as they talk about their own experiences with these feelings.
This lesson also focuses on pronunciation while reading a short story about a boy who is feeling worried about an upcoming test. Students will then have the opportunity to talk about what happens in the story and reflect on how the boy expressed his feelings. Students will also have the chance to identify how they might personally feel in this scenario and how they might express these feelings.
Children will get to play the feelings game Tic, Tac, Toe at the end of the lesson.
