Do you feel like you need to practice your pronunciation? In this lesson, I will help you with your spoken English by letting you read poems, articles, short stories, or chapters.

레슨 상세 내용

Words in English are sometimes tricky to pronounce. There are two ways to say "read"! What is the difference between "cloth", "clothes", and "clothing"? This 30 minute reading lesson is good for English beginners, as well as intermediate students. Students aged 10+ are recommended.

This is not a grammar lesson.

In this 30 minute lesson, I would ask that the student does not prepare anything at all. I will assess your reading level, and provide you with something to read. If there is a topic you prefer, please let me know in advance (when you request the lesson) so that I may find something suitable for you.

Texts that I will choose from include: short story, chapters of books, news articles, scientific or business articles, essays, poetry, etc.

What does a 30 minute reading lesson look like?
2-5 minutes: I will assess your reading level. We will talk about your preference or interest in readings.
10-20 minutes: You read to me the text I provide. During this time you may stop and ask me questions about what you are reading. For example, if you don't understand a word, or you want to know the reason it must be pronunced a certain way.
5-10 minutes: I will end the lesson by quizzing you on the text you just read. This is to ensure that you not only read, but that you also understand what you read.

After the lesson, I will provide students with feedback and suggestions on further reading on their own time, as well as critique for improvement.
