Russian grammar can be tough, but as soon as you get the hang of it, everything becomes much more clear than before.
In this lesson we will look at one famous phrase which Lev Uspensky, a famous Soviet linguist, presented in his book on linguistics Слово о словах (A word about words). This phrase illustrates how without even knowing the meaning of the words in Russian we can still derive the meaning of the sentence by looking at its grammar.
This lesson will be useful to intermediate and advanced students of Russian language. This is mainly a lecture, so please keep it in mind.
