I have been taking lessons with Koyuki Sensei since October 2023, and throughout that time I have been consistently impressed with the quality of her teaching. When I started, I had almost no knowledge of Japanese. Since then, we have worked through the Genki 1 and Genki 2 textbooks together, and we are now about to begin Quartet. What I appreciate most about Koyuki Sensei's teaching style is the balance she strikes between patience, encouragement, and challenge. Her lessons are always enjoyable and engaging, but she also knows how to push me in the right way so that I continue to improve and stay motivated. She is highly adaptable and is always able to tailor her approach to my individual needs as a learner. I genuinely look forward to every lesson and feel motivated to study between sessions, often thinking ahead to what we will cover next. 月に１回のペースでレッスンしていただくようになり、１年が経ちました。５０分のレッスンを姉と弟でシェアし、しかも月に１回なのですが、２人とも、驚くほど上手くなりました。先生のアドバイスがとても分かりやすい、と子どもたちが言っています。そして私が横からレッスンを見ていて思うのが、先生の引き出しが多いこと！一つのやり方を試してみてあまりうまくいかなければ、じゃ、こうやってみよう、と、すぐに他の方法に切り替えて下さります。そして、これが一番大事なことなのですが、子どもたちがピアノを楽しく弾けることを第一に考えて下さっているのも、とても伝わってきます。
