Business English: Communication and Business Skills Building

Textbook-Based Suitability:
•For students with no work experience
•Useful also for students already in work who want to practice particular business and communication skills
Methodology: Communicative Approach; Task-based Approach
The lessons will help you build two sets of skills: communication and practical business skills including building rapport, networking, dealing with interruptions, building consensus, dealing with conflict and disagreement and also negotiating, presenting and building relationships. We will practice them in business workshop case studies in realistic professional context. We will use a special video-based training programme to help you build communication skills:
•supporting teamwork
•listening actively
•collaborating
•solving problems
•influencing
We will also work on grammar and pronunciation (word stress, voice range, contrastive stress, etc.). I will be happy to share with you my corporate or MBA experience where appropriate.
You can pick and choose lessons for the pack or I can them for you. We can do this according to your flow and pace and pay special attention to your language needs.
