(This lesson will suit Upper Beginner / Intermediate - Advanced students)

This lesson can be taken in 2 ways:

1) READ OUT LOUD:

(good for beginners / intermediate or students who want to work on pronunciation)

You CHOOSE AN ARTICLE
Read it before the lesson to start forming your own ideas about the content and write down any questions you may have
In class, you will READ OUT LOUD to me
I will support you by correcting any mistakes, explaining the vocabulary and any other questions you may have
Then we will DISCUSS the topic for the remainder of the lesson

2) DISCUSSION:

(good for intermediate / advanced or students who want to work on discussion and conversation skills)

You CHOOSE AN ARTICLE
Read it before the lesson to start forming your own ideas about the content and write down any questions you may have...I will of course do the same
We will start the lesson by checking your questions about the article and any unfamiliar expressions or vocabulary
Then we will DISCUSS the topic for the remainder of the lesson

GENERAL GUIDELINES:

You can CHOOSE ANY ARTICLE from ANY NEWS SOURCE or BLOG you prefer
Choose something that SUITS YOUR LEVEL and INTERESTS
TEACHER SUGGESTIONS ARE AVAILABLE if you struggle to find a suitable article
I keep DETAILED SKYPE NOTES of everything we discuss.

レッスン前に読みたい記事を自分で選び、レッスン中は音読しながら、分からない単語をその都度先生に聞いていきました。 Leandaは、どの単語の説明も的確で分かりやすかったです。と同時に、チャットボックスに、まさにdetailed skype notesを打ち込んでくれました。今回のレッスンでたくさんの新しい語彙を学べました。記事読解に時間がかかってしまい、ディスカッションの時間があまり設けれなかったのが、少し残念でしたが、とても充実感のあるレッスンでした。

Leanda is a fantastic teacher who is very attentive to each student's needs. Leanda is a fantastic teacher who is very attentive to each student's needs. We discussed cultural differences, social issues and the like, and as this was the first time, she flexibly delivered the lesson while seeing how the lesson goes. I felt very easy to talk to her, as she made sure that I understand everything, encouraged me to ask her to clarify anytime, and provided detailed explanations on expressions or words that were unfamiliar to me. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to improve or keep up with their English !!

Leanda is such a brilliant teacher. She is very professional, cheerful and open amongst other things. She listens to my English attentively for errors and corrects them either in chat box or orally. Having lessons with her is a sheer joy, as she also teaches various curious, colourful English expressions, as well as difficult/sophisticated words. She is also very good at making students comfortable, and encourages them to bring up anything that genuinely interest them to discuss. I've learnt so much thanks to her, and will definitely continue with her :)
