This lesson is for people who would like to watch Japanese dramas in Japanese and have fun while studying. Japanese dramas are full of expressions that don’t appear in textbooks, so not only are they great for learning everyday Japanese, they will also help you improve your listening skills. Let’s study your favorite drama and have a fun lesson together!

Lesson Progression
1. Tell me which drama you’d like to study when you make the request (in order to guarantee that you understand the content, please choose a drama that has subtitles in a language you’re proficient in)

2. I will let you know which scene we’ll be using during the lesson (it’ll be about 15 minutes long) in advance, so please take a look at it before the lesson.

3. During the lesson, we will do listening practice, then check your comprehension, then we will practice pronunciation together.

4. After the lesson, please watch the drama again and practice what we studied together.

*We can only cover about 1/4 of an episode per lesson. If you come to class very prepared (having watched all the necessary scenes) we can cover everything by the 4th lesson. Let’s aim to finish to whole drama!
