"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it." (Helen Keller)
We still grieve for the souls lost but we keep our hearts strong & steadfast, as brave people work to pick up the pieces and rebuild not just broken homes, but dreams, seemingly shattered.
Please always remember, in the past, the nation has risen from rubble and debris, like a Phoenix from the ashes. It will take time, but someday, all will be well again.
May the Japanese people remain united, may leaders have the clarity of mind to come up with appropriate plans, and the iron will to get things done.
Another quake hit Japan today, with epicenter situated in the Fukushima area. It is worrisome but we must not lose heart. May the tremors stop. May the Japanese nation not falter.
The land itself--the Land of the Rising Sun--epitomizes hope. And with this hope, may the nation push forward & persevere.
The world is one with you, in the spirit of gaman, as you remember this day.
