Hello! It's wonderful to meet you.
I'm Alexander, a professional animator and certified fitness trainer currently based in Tokyo. After teaching drawing and animation at London art institutions -- including the University of Arts London -- to students ranging from children to doctorate-level academics, I've brought my passion for education to Japan.
My teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop confidence and autonomy in their artistic and fitness journeys. I want each student to feel empowered in their own capacity for creative expression and physical well-being, while providing professional guidance tailored to their specific goals.
I graduated from the University of Toronto with degrees in philosophy and psychology, with additional study at the University of Cambridge. My diverse background includes working at Japan House London—a cultural center established by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs—which deepened my understanding of Japanese culture and prepared me for teaching in this environment.
As a certified personal trainer, I specialize in resistance training, nutritional guidance, and boxing instruction, always adapting my approach to meet individual student needs.
