Hello! I am Gabriel, a native English speaker from the United States. I spent two months backpacking across Japan, from Cape Sata to Cape Sōya. This trip made me appreciate Japanese culture, and it helped me reach a conversational level in Japanese.
 
Teaching Background
I started teaching in high school by running tennis classes for children. Tennis is a difficult sport, and teaching it helped me learn how to explain things clearly.
During my time in Japan, many people asked me to practice English with them. I enjoyed helping them, and this inspired me to become an English tutor.
I have also tutored students in English and math, and I have experience teaching ESL learners online.
 
What I Teach

• Professional communication (marketing and engineering)
 
Lesson Style
My lessons are relaxed and friendly. I focus on natural conversation and real communication. I also give recommendations for practice and useful resources.
You can choose to use your camera or not. Recording the lesson is okay.
 
Scheduling
Weekly lessons work well. We can choose a day and time that is comfortable for you.
 
About Me
In my free time I enjoy tennis, studying Japanese, and photography. I work well with students of all ages and all English levels. My motto is: "Opportunities come to those who are prepared."
