Hello, my name is Petra and I am from Cape Town,
South Africa. I have a BSc degree
in Biological Sciences and an Honours degree in Microbiology from the University of
Pretoria, South Africa. In addition, I am a Level 3 TEFL-certified English teacher as well as a qualified
Pilates and Yoga instructor, with seven years of Pilates/Yoga class-teaching experience and less than a year English online teaching experience. In my free time I like to read or go cycling. I also love traveling. My teaching
background across science and fitness has given me a deep appreciation for
different learning styles and the importance of clear, compassionate communication as
well as student-centred classes, building confidence and helping learners meet their
personal goals. I have a genuine love for languages. I would love to teach
English to adults at any level. I am looking forward to
supporting my students in their
