Hello, my name is Monica.
I am a certified Japanese language teacher specializing in supporting elementary school students growing up overseas, especially in multicultural and bilingual families.
Qualifications
Registered Japanese Language Teacher (national certification in Japan)
Completed a 420-hour Japanese Language Teacher Training Course
Licensed teacher (Elementary, Junior High, and High School in Japan.
Teaching Experience
- 3 years at Japanese public schools
- 5 years at an overseas Japanese school
- 3 years teaching Japanese to children living abroad and non-Japanese students
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that language is the foundation of thinking and identity.
Children growing up in bilingual environments often understand Japanese well but may struggle with writing, grammar, or structured expression. I carefully support each child at their level, helping them build strong foundations in sentence structure, logical writing, and confident communication.
My goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to help children feel confident and positive about using Japanese as part of who they are.
