Hello! My name is Yoshi. I’m a former teacher currently living in the UK. 

I am professional English tutor who specializes in teaching English to the Japanese people having native-level English skills and high knowledge in second language learning.

・I want to improve my daily conversation in English.
・I want to improve my English skills in order to be able to living abroad.
・I want to be able to say what I want to say in English without hesitation.
・I want to be able to speak logically in English.
・I’ve tried various English study methods but it didn’t go well.

My lessons are made for those who feel like the above.

※Currently I can no longer accept requests on language exam preparation lesson for new students.


【Yoshi’s lesson flow】

Students who continue to take my lessons are asked to submit an original assignment called "Meta cognitive Writing" every day.
Based on the submitted content, we will identify areas that need improvement and incorporate them into the online lesson.

I would like to work on “identifying your weaknesses & overcoming them" rather than just following a prepared curriculum.
By repeating this process, you can steadily acquire and improve your English skills.

What is Yoshi’s “Speciality in Second Language Acquisition”?

I have a Master of Applied Linguistics and English Language Teaching (MA TESOL) from a graduate school in England and I can help you on improving your English based on scientific evidence.

There are many qualifications for teaching languages, but one of the most specialized is the MA TESOL.
As of 2021/12, there are only 4 teachers on Cafetalk with this certificate, including myself, out of 1500 English language tutors.

It is difficult for an ordinary Japanese person to suddenly start teaching Japanese tomorrow, isn't it?
In order to bring results as a tutor, you need to be fluent in the language and know how to teach it properly. Having an MA TESOL is proof of this specialty.

I have four years of experience as a junior and senior high school English teacher in Japan, and some of my past students have been accepted to overseas universities.

I have lived in the U.S. for five years, France for six months, and I am currently in my second year of living in the UK.
