My background is in IT, but languages have always pulled me in, both kinds! There's something about the way programming languages and spoken ones share the same logic, the same patterns. Once I noticed that connection, I just couldn't stop. :)
Outside of class I play guitar. Not very well, honestly. And my singing is... let's just say the neighbors have been very patient. =/ I also bake! My favorite is a traditional Brazilian corn cake that's way easier than it sounds. I'll share the recipe if you're curious! <3
Traveling is what makes me happiest, and learning languages connects directly to that. Being able to say even just a few things in someone's language when I visit their country changes the whole experience. That feeling is a big part of why I started teaching. I wanted to help others feel it too. =)

I started in 2021, and since then I've had the pleasure of teaching +2,000 classes and working with +300 students from all over the world. =)
I've worked with students at all levels, from complete beginners who had never spoken a single word of Portuguese, to advanced speakers fine-tuning their fluency for work or travel.
I've also helped several students prepare for and pass the Celpe-Bras exam, which is Brazil's official Portuguese proficiency test. That one still feels good every single time. <3
Every student is different, and that's honestly what keeps this interesting for me. Some come with a structured goal. Some just want to talk. Some are preparing for a trip. Whatever yours is, we'll figure it out together.

Patient is my default. My classes are a space where mistakes are welcome, because that's just how learning works. =)
We talk like two people having coffee. When I correct something, it fits into the conversation rather than stopping it. Don't worry about grammar, it comes up when it's actually useful, not because we're supposed to cover it this week.
I follow your pace, not a script. Some students come in feeling stuck and leave feeling capable. Some come in feeling lost and leave feeling confident. What I care about is that you leave each class feeling like you can actually do this. Because you can. =)

The best conversations happen when we actually care about the topic. Here are some things we can explore together:

Culture & Travel • Anime · Manga · Traveling · Cafe Culture · Languages
