Hello everyone!

My name is David, and I’m an experienced ESL teacher born and raised in Richmond, Canada. Growing up in Richmond, a vibrant city just outside Vancouver, sparked my interest in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds. This passion naturally led me to a rewarding career in teaching English, where I’ve had the pleasure of helping students from all over the world achieve their goals.


These days, I’m lucky to call Sydney, Australia, my home. Living in such an energetic city has deepened my enthusiasm for teaching and meeting people from all walks of life. Whether it’s enjoying the beautiful coastal views, soaking up the sunny weather, or exploring the many exciting attractions, I feel inspired to bring this same energy into my lessons.


My Teaching Journey

Over the past few years, I’ve taught English through some of the best online learning platforms, gaining invaluable experience working with learners of different ages and backgrounds. I specialize in teaching:

  • General English for everyday communication,
  • Professional English, especially Business English,
  • English for Academic Purposes, and
  • Test preparation for exams like IELTS and TOEIC.

Whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate learner, or an advanced student looking to refine your skills, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My lessons are:

My Educational Background

I hold a Master’s degree in International Business Marketing and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, which has equipped me with the skills to help students master business and professional communication effectively.

A Bit About Me

Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about traveling and experiencing new places. Exploring the world has taught me how important language is in building connections and understanding different perspectives—something I bring into my teaching every day.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me hiking local trails, spending time with family and friends, or watching my favorite basketball and soccer games. Living in Sydney has also given me plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, from relaxing on the beaches to discovering stunning walking trails. I’ve recently taken up learning Japanese, which helps me relate even more to the learning experience my students go through.
