Hello! I'm Perri from Taiwan. It's a pleasure to meet you here on Cafetalk!
I believe that learning a language is much more than memorising vocabulary and grammar, it's a way to discover new cultures and connect with people. As someone who is also learning English and Japanese, I understand the challenges of learning a new language and how important it is to have a patient and encouraging teacher.
In my lessons, you don't need to be afraid of making mistakes. I tailor each lesson to your level, learning goals, and interests so that you can learn Chinese at your own pace. Whether you're a complete beginner, want to improve your everyday conversation skills, are planning a trip to Taiwan, hope to communicate with Taiwanese friends, or simply want to learn more about Taiwanese culture, I'd be happy to support your learning journey.
I enjoy bringing real-life situations into my lessons, such as ordering at a shop, exploring a night market, taking the MRT, planning a trip, or talking about Taiwanese festivals, food, films, picture books, and everyday life. In addition to using textbooks, I also incorporate pictures, short videos, news articles, songs, and topics that interest you, making learning both practical and enjoyable.
Everyone learns differently, so my lessons are flexible and adapted to your progress. My goal is to help you gain the confidence to speak Chinese naturally while enjoying the learning process and celebrating your progress.
