Hello! I’m Midori from Japan.
I’ve been living in Jamaica for 4 years now, with my family.
Do you study Japanese but don’t have many opportunities to actually speak it?
Do you feel nervous about making mistakes or lack confidence when speaking Japanese?
If so, I’m here to help you enjoy speaking Japanese in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
Living abroad myself, I’ve experienced many times how much better it can feel to simply have someone to talk to. Sometimes, having a casual conversation can be a great way to take a break, clear your mind, or simply enjoy someone’s company.
That’s why I also created a lesson where you can simply come and talk whenever you feel like, “Hey, I just want to talk to someone!”
【My Teaching Experience】
I have experience teaching and supporting people from a variety of backgrounds.
As a fitness coach, I have worked with both beginners and experienced clients, providing one-on-one and group coaching tailored to each person’s level and goals.
I also have experience teaching Japanese as a volunteer and have been involved in translation work.
Through living and working abroad, I have also gained extensive experience communicating in English with people from many different countries and backgrounds.
In my Japanese lessons, I tailor each lesson to the learner’s level and goals. We can work on everyday conversation, pronunciation, basic grammar, useful expressions, and more in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
Most importantly, I want you to feel relaxed and comfortable speaking Japanese without worrying too much about making mistakes.
【What We Can Do in My Lessons】
① Japanese Conversation Practice
We can practice conversations using a textbook, or simply talk about everyday life, hobbies, interests, or any topic you enjoy.
Free conversation is always welcome!
② Japanese for Beginners｜Start from the Basics
If you’d like to learn Japanese from the beginning, we can use a textbook to learn hiragana, katakana, basic grammar, and useful expressions step by step.
Not sure where to start? That’s totally okay! Beginners are very welcome.
③ Talk to Me!｜Relaxed Japanese Conversation
If you’re in the mood to talk, come and chat with me! Please tell me about it.
Having lived abroad myself, I know how refreshing and helpful it can be to simply have someone to talk to.
Tell me about your day, something you’re really into lately, work, school, life abroad, relationships, something that made you happy, or even a little complaint you just want to get off your chest.
You don’t need to have a particular topic in mind. Just come as you are and talk about whatever you feel like talking about.
I can also support you in English when needed, so please feel comfortable joining my lessons.
