Hello, my name is Roger. I'm from Massachusetts, but I grew up in the Midwest and went to school there. I taught English in two summer programs for first-generation college-bound students; one summer school session at a boys' home; and a semester of business English at a business college. 

As a student at Indiana State University, I tutored in the writing center. Many of my students were Chinese Maylasian, and I helped with their freshman compositions and to hone their conversation skills. I have a bachelor's degree with a major in English, a minor in creative writing, and TESL and TEFL certificates. 

When it comes to availability, I am flexible. If a student wants to work with me, I will do my best to arrange my schedule to meet yours.

I want to make myself available to tutor adults in English as a second language, as well as children of all ages, 5 and up. 

If you wish to converse, write, do standup comedy, or hone your conversational skills in general, I am here to help. If you'd like to learn more about the basics of English grammar, and syntax, or practice spelling, I am here to help. I'm easy-going, and patient, and have many interests in culture, geography, history, politics, music, and more to discuss.

We never stop learning, so I am here to learn from you as well. I offer discounts and easy cancellation terms.
